HACAN
My brief is to watch activity at Heathrow Airport. Currently most aircraft landing at Heathrow fly quite a bit South of us so we do not suffer too much from aircraft noise. However the proposed Third Runway would be to the North of the current runways, this will mean aircraft passing directly over our neighbourhood, so we will suffer from dramatically increased noise levels. At a recent AGRA meeting the membership voted that, as an organisation, we should oppose the Third Runway at Heathrow. During the consultation period on the Third Runway I delivered leaflets to every household in the AGRA area explaining the situation.AGRA is a member of HACAN, the organisation that campaigns on behalf of those who suffer because of aircraft flight paths.
